The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

cheap robot vacuum cleaner  is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective, but this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of smart features. It's crucial to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module which includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some nice jingles to inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the need to switch out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
